The Placement Chronicles
Hi everyone, I am back with an update on my placement journey and this time I am going to talk about settling in, growing confidence and developing relations. As I continue my placement, I am starting to feel more comfortable and confident in my role. What initially felt new and unfamiliar is now slowly becoming part of my daily routine, allowing me to approach tasks with a more positive and proactive mindset.
One of the most exciting parts of my placement so far has been the opportunity to work on different projects. I have started working on range of projects, such as stability studies, new product development, reformulation. Being exposed to these areas has given me valuable insight into how products are developed and improved for large scale production, while also encouraging me to be more detail-oriented and organised and develop a deeper understanding of the work.
Another big part of this journey is about developing relationships within the workplace. Working closely with the team has shown me the importance of communication, trust, and collaboration. Taking the time to engage with others, ask questions, and learn from their experiences has not only improved my understanding of the role but has also made me feel more included and supported.
As my confidence grows, I am finding it easier to contribute ideas, take initiative, and adapt to new challenges. Building these connections has made a significant difference in how I experience my placement, turning it into not just a learning opportunity, but also a supportive and enjoyable environment. Each step in this journey brings something new, and I’ll continue sharing the experiences along the way.
