Our Commitment

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Coventry Chemicals Ltd (Mirius Global Hygiene Solutions) has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking or forced labour.

At Coventry Chemicals Ltd, we are committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and with integrity. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, bonded labour, and all forms of exploitation within our operations and supply chains.

We recognise our responsibility to respect and uphold human rights and are committed to preventing modern slavery risks throughout our business activities.

Our Business and Supply Chain

As an organisation, we work with employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners who share our values and commitment to ethical standards. We expect all parties within our supply chain to operate in compliance with applicable laws and regulations relating to employment, labour rights, and human rights.

Policies and Due Diligence

To help prevent modern slavery and human trafficking, we:

  • Maintain policies promoting ethical business practices and fair treatment of workers.
  • Conduct appropriate due diligence when selecting and reviewing suppliers.
  • Expect suppliers and contractors to comply with all relevant employment and human rights legislation.
  • Investigate any concerns regarding unethical working practices and take appropriate corrective action where necessary.
  • Encourage employees and stakeholders to raise concerns through established reporting channels.

Training and Awareness

We promote awareness of modern slavery risks within our organisation and encourage employees to remain vigilant and report any concerns. We are committed to continuous improvement in our understanding and management of modern slavery risks.

Ongoing Commitment

We will continue to review and strengthen our policies, procedures, and supplier relationships to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or supply chains.

In addition to the above and to mitigate this, we train relevant employees on recognising and reporting modern slavery in conjunction with ‘Stronger Together – tackling modern slavery in supply chains’, work closely with labour providers who are members of the Association of Labour Providers (ALP) and ensure that we recruit responsibly.

Our company is a committed member of SEDEX, demonstrating our dedication to responsible and ethical business practices. We undergo regular SMETA ethical audits, which independently assess our compliance with labour standards, health and safety, environmental management, and business integrity. These audits include rigorous checks related to modern slavery and human trafficking, ensuring that our operations and supply chain uphold the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and worker protection.
