Mirius Achieves the CHSA Chemical Standards Certification Mark
Highlighting its commitment to maintaining standards and ethical trading as outlined in its rigorous Code of Practice, Mirius has passed the stringent auditing process and secured admission to the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers’ Association (CHSA) Cleaning Chemical Manufacturing Accreditation Scheme.
“We are delighted to have passed the audit and secured membership of the Accreditation Scheme,” said Darren Langdon (Mirius Commercial Director) “Membership further signals our commitment to quality; our customers can be certain it runs through our products and our business.”
“At the heart of the CHSA is its determination to maintain standards and ethical practices,” said Mike Stubbs, Chairman of the CHSA’s Accreditation Schemes. “This philosophy is embedded in our Code of Practice, signed by every CHSA member.
“With this in mind we are delighted to welcome Mirius into the Accreditation Scheme. The audit confirmed they meet the requirements of the relevant Accreditation Scheme and comply with our Code of Practice. Their customers can be certain they get what they pay for and product that conforms to the specifications stipulated in the Scheme.”
The CHSA’s Manufacturing Accreditation Schemes for cleaning chemicals give buyers the certainty what’s on the box is what’s in the box.
Gaining admittance to one of the CHSA’s Accreditation Schemes is challenging. Applicants must pass the initial audit, conducted by the CHSA’s Independent Inspector of their product range and existing quality assurance processes. They are then audited frequently throughout the first year to ensure they maintain the standard that was required of them to gain membership of one of the Schemes.
Thereafter members are visited by the Independent Inspector repeatedly through each year. He confirms the labels comply with the relevant Scheme’s specification. This ensures buyers can be confident what’s on the box is what’s in the box and the product is traceable to the manufacturer and specific batch. He confirms the cleaning chemicals conform to the relevant national and international certifications. The Inspector also audits members’ quality systems to ensure they are as vigilant with their own systems as with the products audited by the Inspector.
