In less than four weeks the London Landmarks Half Marathon will take place on 12th April, and we’re excited to share that two of our own- Bruce Sinclair and David Paylor- will be proudly representing Mirius as they take on their first-ever half marathon in support of In Kind Direct.

Mirius began it’s partnership with In Kind Direct in August 2025, committing to support the charity with monthly donations of products and team fundraising events. This half-marathon is more than miles on the pavement- it’s an opportunity to support an organisation making a real difference to people and communities facing hygiene poverty across the UK. And for Bruce and David, that’s all the motivation they need.

Meet the Runners

For our Sales and Innovations Executive Bruce, the race is both a charitable challenge and a personal journey toward better fitness. The work In Kind Direct does in providing essential support to so many different organisations, communities and people made the charity the top choice for Bruce to raise money for. His admiration for the In Kind Direct reflects the passion and purpose driving this fundraising effort.

“In Kind Direct are a fantastic charity to support, and it has also given me a reason to get out and improve my fitness. For the past 3 months I have been training roughly 3-4 times per week”

Sometimes the biggest challenges start with the smallest moments, and in David’s case, a spontaneous yes has now turned into months of preparation for a great cause. Despite not being able to fit in as much training as he would have liked, David is determined to give it everything he’s got on race day for such a good cause. With first-hand understanding of the positive impact In Kind Direct has on frontline charities, Regulatory Manager David is proud to support their mission in tackling hygiene poverty across the UK.

“My wife works for a homeless charity and they get a lot of support from In Kind Direct. Our MD, Darren Langdon, has also told me how much work they do behind the scenes in the charity sector, so it’s great to raise money and awareness for them.”

Why We’re Running

Both colleagues decided to take on the half marathon for different reasons but are driven by one shared goal: raising money and awareness for a charity that consistently supports those who need it most.

In Kind Direct distributes consumer goods, with a key focus on hygiene products, donated by companies to thousands of charities, community groups, schools, and food banks with the mission to ensure essential items reach the people and organisations who need them most, improving lives, supporting communities, and reducing waste.

Their quiet but powerful impact across the charity sector is what makes this half marathon so meaningful for Bruce, David, and all of us here at Mirius.

This is both runners’ first ever half marathon, a milestone made even more special knowing it supports such a worthy cause. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way and sharing updates closer to the big day.

Good luck Bruce and David – Team Mirius is behind you all the way!
