The Trussell Trust is a UK national charity that provides practical support to people during their hardest moments, notably by the provision of much needed commodities through an extensive community of food banks (1). When the buying of sufficient food is a struggle, other household products can also be difficult to obtain. Food bank activity and usage is at an all-time high. This is where Mirius helps its local community by supporting the food bank in Nuneaton that is local to it production site in the Coventry area. After establishing a relationship with the Food Bank network, Mirius has pledged to donate and deliver surplus household cleaning product stock on a monthly basis to the Nuneaton food bank centre (2).
Thursday 10 October 2024 saw the first of our monthly donations to the food bank. Pictured below is Mirius Environmental, Social, Governance Manager, Arjun Nair with members of Nuneaton food bank team.
