Mirius recognises the need to make sustainability an intrinsic part of the business. A company’s environmental impact cannot be ignored. Mirius knows sustainability does not just cover recycling and reducing plastic use, it encompasses anything the business does that impacts the natural or social environment.
Becoming a more sustainable business is an accumulation of many smaller positive actions, which is why we take logical and considerate steps to ensure each action is as impactful as possible.
Palm oil is an extremely common ingredient used in many products and foods sourced from oil palm trees, however if not harvested responsibly it can cause devastating deforestation. In certain cases, it is essential that some of our products contain palm oil. We are proud to be RSPO certified, meaning we are committed and compliant with sustainability requirements to use sustainably sourced palm oil. The RSPO certification requires businesses to complete a thorough and continued verification process as well as maintain and improve their compliance status. This is the type of standard we hold ourselves to when it comes to our sustainability practices.

With the relaunch of our Super Professional range in August 2024 comes the introduction of our Super Sapling Pledge. For every £1,000 customers spend on our products we will plant a tree for them in partnership with Evertreen. Mirius will match every tree we plant for our customers to double the impact of the project. Due to our global presence, we are keen help reforest areas other than just the UK, this is one of the reasons we chose Evertreen, as we can plant saplings in countries where the social consequences are its peak. Super Sapling is a long-term project we are excited to see the exponential impact of.
It is vital for businesses to recognise their effect on their local community, however this is something Mirius has always been conscious of. In previous years Mirius has sponsored local sports teams to ease financial burden, donated vital cleaning and hygiene products to local food banks and community organisations to offset their cost of running kid’s clubs. In early 2024 we teamed up with a local homeless charity to provide aid in their mission in helping those who are experiencing homelessness. Throughout the year we are fund-raising, holding and sponsoring charity events and making donations for the charity. By working with the charity, we can do more than just give money.
By supporting the environment and our community, we create a more sustainable business and culture. Mirius continues to research new and innovative ways we can give back and support our world.
These are just a few examples of the ways Mirius is trying to give back to the community and put some good back into society.
We also care about our coworkers by providing all necessary health and safety equipment. Moreover, we offer a dedicated online platform to prioritize our staff’s health and well-being. Mirius conducts paid volunteer activities annually. Mirius does not tolerate any form of harassment, child labour or discrimination in its working environment or recruitment process. We welcome all cultures and inclusivity. We understand that a healthy, happy workforce is a sustainable workforce.
